Good news reported by Paul Thurrott on his blog.  I like MS Office, and I love the iPad.  I hope it’s a good marriage!

With Microsoft Executive Vice President Tami Reller seeming to tiptoe around a discussion about Microsoft’s plans for delivering a full-featured Office version for iPad this year, we don’t need to parse her comments to learn more. A related and reliable report suggests that Microsoft is in fact speeding up the delivery of Office for iPad. And it will probably arrive ahead of the version for Windows 8.

I’ve always believed that Excel is one of the most powerful software tools out there. It isn’t just the fact that it’s spreadsheet software, which is by its nature powerful anyway. No, Microsoft Excel 2013 itself has such an awesome collection of built-in tools and features that it has beyond any doubt, become one of the most useful tools for so many things. In this article, I plan to show you how powerful formulas and conditional formatting can be, with three pretty useful examples.

I am going to ruffle a few feathers here by saying that Microsoft OneNote is just as good as Evernote. Evernote is probably more barebones and easier to handle, while OneNote is the digital equivalent of a binder, giving you more organizational control.

I have tried so many note taking applications and for Windows users that already have OneNote it’s a very powerful piece of software.  Since I work on MAc and Linux as well, I’ve been recommending EverNote because it is (1) free and (2) it runs on everything…Mac/Windows/Linux/Android/iOS.  As a Microsoft Certified Professional and Office expert I love OneNote and am glad to see this for the iPad.
