The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has a site called open courseware that provides, FREE, the course materials for over 1900 courses and the list is growing.

I spent way too much time reading material from their course on operating system engineering. There is material there that could keep me entertained for a very long time.

If you are looking for a disk utility similar to Symantec Ghost, this is what you should try…

From: http://ping.windowsdream.com/

PING is a live Linux ISO, based on the excellent Linux From Scratch (LFS) documentation. It can be burnt on a CD and booted, or integrated into a PXE / RIS environment.

Several tools have been added and written, so to make this ISO the perfect choice to backup and restore whole partitions, an easy way. It sounds like Symantec Ghost(tm), but has even better features, and is totally free.

Some colleagues and I just completed training on ITIL v3 Foundations. A three day course that was quite good due to the instructor. Seems I did pretty good on the exam also, certification was through APM Group. We are working toward ITIL implementation. It’s a slow and tedious process but I find the framework to be very helpful.
